Team Leader and Early Childhood Teacher

I have a Degree in Early Childhood Studies, a Diploma in Children Services and a Certificate in Family Studies. I have 17 years’ experience in working with young children and families and have worked in a range of services including child care centres, mother and baby units, Tafe Institutes and kindergarten programs. My professional experience was recently validated by VETASESS to an accomplished level of experience.  I am passionate about science in early childhood and how grandparent’s impact on young children’s understanding and learning. I also value the important role of parents, families and communities in the everyday education of young children.

My name is Ruth Wendt, I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and have been teaching Kindergarten for 9.5 years. I love teaching this age group as the children blow me away with their love of life and enthusiasm for learning. I am passionate about recognising children’s strengths and interests and utilising these to further their growth and development. I value children as strong, knowledgeable and resilient little beings who are capable of achieving great things…. I love learning alongside the children and having heaps of fun in the process! I also have a passion for music and movement and love incorporating these experiences into the program. It is an absolute privilege to be a kindergarten teacher and to be a part of a childs learning journey.

My name is Jenny Langendam.  I have been an assistant at Beleura Hill Preschool for 10 years qualifying with my certificate III.  I really enjoy doing the relaxation and lunch times with the children.  My inertests include reading, walking, golf and yoga.  I feel very privileged to be entrusted with the children

Assistant Educator

I have a Certificate in Mother Craft Nursing and a Certificate of Applied Social Sciences in Child Care Studies. I've over 24 years’ experience working with young children and families and have worked in a range of services, including, mother and baby units, maternity wards, family day care and kindergarten programs. I have been at Beleura Hill Preschool for 10 years and my passion is developing the garden and veggie patch with the children.  My main focus is ensuring each child has a sense of belonging to the preschool and that each day is a happy day.

Hi my name is Sandra Dumsday. I have a certificate III in Children’s Services. I have been at Beleura Hill Pre-School since 2011. I am very fortunate to be working with both our 3 year old and 4 year old groups as an assistant. It gives me great pleasure in knowing that I am involved in the growing and development of these young individuals and as a result I never tire at listening to their wonderful conversations and seeing their bright beautiful smiles when they have mastered that “I can’t do it” task. It is such a wonderful and rewarding position!

Green Group Teacher

My name is Sophy Hayes and I have worked with children of varied ages for many years and have a Diploma in Childrens Services.  I feel very privileged to be teaching here at Beleura Hill Pre-school this year as I have admired the positive, stimulating learning environment the kinder has offered since my own children commenced kindergarten here a decade ago!  I enjoy teaching the kindergarten age group and strive to provide your child with a nurturing, collaborative, educational experience.
